A Bit About Me
Growing up with a sibling diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy shaped my outlook on life. My sister is the reason I chose to follow a career path working with children and young adults with differing abilities. I am dedicated to helping individuals discover the enjoyment and benefit of a healthy lifestyle in a suitable and safe environment.
My experience was far reaching at an early age, prior to my start with Fit4Fun. My parents founded a not-for-profit in New York, Heartsong, Inc., a no fee music and art therapy program for children with developmental disabilities, at which I volunteered at an early age. As a result of our family’s passion for helping the community, I found myself volunteering from the time I was in grade school through college. I established a great respect for recognizing how to help each person reach their greatest potential. Helping individuals with special needs, as well as those who are able bodied, is important to me as together we share the value of a healthy way of life.
After completing my undergraduate degree, my first employer was Swim Angelfish, a global leader in adaptive swimming. I spent over five years cultivating a profound understanding of the clients we served while better understanding how to communicate, motivate, channel energy and excite our clients to enjoy swimming. My college training in Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology and other course work in the education field has prepared me to excel in my professional career.
During the past 10+ years, my clients have helped me understand the benefit of a customized positive and relatable experience which ensures a successful outcome. Please join me in my quest as I work with children and adults to help them embrace fit=fun!
